B is the correct answer. Mythology was basically Man's attempt to provide answers to things they could not explain. These myths were a combination of observation, guess work, and religious belief. A is not correct because many myths incorporate supernatural elements. Since science was very limited in those times, people turned to religion for answers. Which is why many of the answers they came up with for their questions included magic. C is very wrong. Mythology is found in nearly every single continent on this planet. Many share similar morals and beliefs. D is not right because myths do reflect the history of the people that created them. With mythology, not only do we learn about a society's beliefs and customs, but also the events that were occurring during that time. The biggest example that I can think of is The Aeneid. It has traces of Roman history but it's deeply influenced by religion and superstitions.
