In last week’s basketball game, the Lions scored 6 less than twice what the Bobcats scored. The sum of their scores is 30. How many points did the Lions and the Bobcats score individually?

@Jhannybean a lil more help plz

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

the lions scored 6 less than twice the bobcats L = 2B - 6 The sum of both teams is 30 L + B = 30 you now know what 'L' equals....so you can replace 'L' with that in your equation 2B - 6 + B = 30 and solve for B this will be how many points the Bobcats scored...after you find that...you can find how many points the Lions scored
