Is this an essay topic? Because if so, you can easily do a compare and contrast essay on how Multiculturalism is seen in America. You could give the pros and cons, the rights and wrongs, the myths and facts. The fact that they gave you Idealism vs. realism made it so easy to write about.

and most of the facts would be for Realism, because no matter how you look at it, it's happening in America, and that's a good thing in my opinion.

Yes, it is an essay topic. I'm talking about the failure of the melting pot and the future of multiculturalism especially after the 9/11 events. the thing is that I have to do a personal contribution and I'm pretty much confused.

Do you have any friends of a different race? Because if so that could be your personal contribution. And I have a very good movie that would go with this topic. It's called "My Name Is Khan" I was actually just watching it lol. But the movie helps you grasp this topic.
