The area of the entire square is 64 given by 8*8. You have four, quarter circles with radius 4, so really just one circle with radius 4. All we need to do is find the area of the one circle, and subtract from total area. A=pi(r)^2 or A=pi(4)^2 so A=16pi This is approx 50.265, so 64-50.265 =13.735 which rounded = 13.74
