Of those four, the airplane. Airplanes were really only doing large amounts of attacking enemy troops on the ground in 1918, and they honestly weren't that good at it. Artillery killed the most - I believe two-thirds of all casualties in the war were caused by artillery. Surprisingly enough, the bayonet was still a useful weapon during the First World War - when enemy troops managed to get into a trench, their bayonets were effective weapons, and of course bayonets were the key to several attacks by both the French and Germans during the first weeks of the war (before the trench systems were set up and when fighting was still mobile). --- I'd go with Hawaii. That's where the Pacific Fleet would be based out of and why the Japanese would hit it in a surprise attack.
