aravindG can you help me with my problem asap please

By "(0,1)(3-8)" I'm going to assume you mean (0,1)(3,-8) The slope of a line is AKA "rise over run", written as a fraction: rise/run The "rise" is the difference in up and down - which is your Y value The "run" is the lateral sample distance - which is the difference in your X value The formula for doing this is (Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1) For the 2 points (0,1)(3,-8), which are (X1,Y1)(X2,Y2), that gives you: (-8-1)/(3-0) Now just finish the math and you have your solution.
