How did the Marshall plan impact the European economy in the post-World War II era?

aka The European Recovery Program, The Marshall Plan was created to send about $13 billion in foreign aid, mostly in food and other supplies, to European nations to help rebuild their economies. It wound up helping the European economy immensely, and helped them out of the struggle they were in priorly during World War II era!
