In wiki it is said that human heart pushes blodd at aproximately 120 mmHG (wich is ~133.322*120=15998.64 Pa) then how comes that from open wound blood rushes out instead of sucking air in since atmosphere is 10^5 Pa wich is almost 10 times as pressure in blood system?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

think of atmospheric pressure as ground zero. blood pressure is measured over and above average atmospheric pressure. there is a good reason why blood comes out of a wound rather than air entering a wound.

that actually makes sense. thanks
