From the hyperbola equation the hyperbola opens left and right. (h,k) is the center which is ( -4, 5) a² = 9 , a = 3 b² = 16, b = 4 c² = a² + b² = 25, c = 5 Vertices : ( h± a , k) , ( -4 +3 , 5) and ( -4-3,5) (-1,5) and (-7,5) Foci : ( h ± c , k), (-4 -5, 5) and ( -4 +5 , 5) (-9,5) and (1,5)

@rajee_sam thank you so much! could you help with one more?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

yeah 'll try

The graph of a limacon curve is given. Without using your graphing calculator, determine which equation is correct for the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea how to check it. here are the answer choices: r = 2 - 2 cos θ r = 2 - 2 sin θ r = 3 - cos θ r = 2 - 3 cos θ

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

This is a polar graph. Let me see how to explain it to you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind i got it thanks @rajee_sam
