Use your angle formula. What do you know about cos, sin, tan?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know how to find it if there is a degree. but i suck at finding cos, sin, or tan with a variable. get me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it true to say sin(x)=10/14 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. so all i would do is divide 10 by 14?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is what sin(x) would be. Not x by its'self.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you get x by itself? the question says find x rounded to the nearest whole degree.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we take the inverse of sin to find x. so since sin(x)=5/7 just simplified 10/14 then x=arcsin(5/7) which is the |dw:1370654463166:dw|
