Question 3 (Multiple Choice Worth 5 points) Why was the Bay of Pigs an embarrassment for the United States? It showed that Havana had surveillance in Washington. The American invasion plot was a total failure. Kennedy did not understand cultural differences in Cuba. Florida could not stop the arrival of thousands of Cubans. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 4 (Multiple Choice Worth 5 points) Proxy wars were primarily a product of American attempts to gain colonies the Soviet policy of the domino theory Soviet attempts to engage in a war with the U.S. the American policy of containment -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 5 (Multiple Choice Worth 5 points) Why did the United States eventually stop supporting South Africa? The government began enacting socialist land reforms. Popular opinion turned against South African apartheid. South Africa began taking arms and funds from the Soviets. The American public stopped supporting African intervention. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 6 (Multiple Choice Worth 5 points) Why are the wars in Vietnam and Korea better remembered in the United States than other proxy wars? because the United States lost these wars because the United States won these wars because many Americans died in these wars because these were the longest proxy wars

Thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This sounds more like American History, why did you put World?... Nevermind it, give me a second..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just took American History, but I don't know any of these... I'm done with school, my last day was on Thursday.. I apologize! :/ Look up keywords, like Bay of Pigs, Proxy Wars, and support of South Africa.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm busy with World History at the moment, and I don't have time to search it myself. Good luck man. (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't take work history so I can't help! I haven't taken it since sophomore year!

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

because many Americans died in these wars

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

^That's for question 6. It can't be the first one because US won the Korea war. It can't be the second one because US lost in the Vietnam War. It can't be the last one because the Korea war only lasted for about 3 years. World War 1 and 2, and many other wars lasted more than 3 years.
