{(-1,-3),(-2,-2),(-2,0),(2,2),(14,4)} Can someone tell me why this isn't a function? I thought it would be because the y variables never repeat.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

A function is a set of ordered pairs in which no two ordered pairs have the same first number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they can have the same first number as long as the 2nd number is the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-2,-2),(-2,0 share the same X coodinate)

Thanks, @Mertsj
