(In C prog.) What is the difference between scanf, getche and getchar?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

getche? r getc?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Hmmm.... if I recall... scanf reads in more than one character and evaluates based on a formatted string. getche and getchar both take in just one character. getchar is the standard method of getting a single character. getche is a non standard method that gets it from the KB and just displays it.
