y = 2x +3 in standard form

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

The standard form of an equation is Ax+By = C To fit this form, you have to get all your y's and x's on one side. You can put this equation in standard form by subtracting the 2x from both sides. y - 2x = 2x - 2x + 3 y - 2x = 3 Now fits the form Ax + By = C

thanks
