Define each of the following concepts and state how each might either positively or negatively change student behavior under such a system. a. Arousal Theory b. James-Lange Theory Not asking for too much, just a simple explanation how these theories relate to the situation? I can't figure it out Also sorry for posting Psychology question here, but nobody is online in that section

Thats ok, Welcome to openstudy! :D Arousal theory is based on the ideas that different individuals perform better at different levels of arousal and that every individual seeks to find its optimum level. For example, some people enjoy a quite evening to relax, while others might prefer a loud concert. According to James-Lange theory of emotion, when you see an external stimulus it leads to a physiological (body) reaction. Your emotional reaction is dependent upon how you interpret those physical reactions. For example, suppose you are walking in the woods and you see a grizzly bear. You begin to tremble and your heart begins to race. The James-Lange theory proposes that you will interpret your physical reactions and conclude that you are frightened ("I am trembling, therefore I am afraid.")
