do you know how to start?
OpenStudy (drummmlers):
not really, combine?
OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):
exactly
so once we have combined we get?
OpenStudy (drummmlers):
3x^2 = 7x ?
OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):
Not quite... you have to combine like terms
Do you see any like terms?

I believe solve for x
how about you solve for condition and I find the x factor and we show him both
OpenStudy (drummmlers):
it doesn't tell me. it just says solve by whatever method seems easiest
OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):
sir I did not get smart with you so pleas don't get smart with me I'm just trying to finish the problem so he can answer it thank you
OpenStudy (drummmlers):
I don't see like terms, it's been quite awhile since i've had to do this and i've forgotten the methods
OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):
okay so you can square root it to get like terms

OpenStudy (loser66):
you don't have like term , therefore, cannot combine like term
step1 move all terms to the LHS to get 3x^2-2x-5=0
step2, solve that quadratic equation
OpenStudy (loser66):
from step2, you can use "factor" method or discriminant method, I prefer factor. can you do it?
OpenStudy (drummmlers):
no i dont think so
OpenStudy (loser66):
what don't you think?
OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):
you can do it just try
