I have no idea What statement best defines the link between Transcendentalist ideas and the idea of perfect communities? Transcendentalists disliked normal society and wished to live only among individuals who were like them. The Transcendentalists valued self-interest and individual rights above all and wanted a society based on those values. Sharing resources and labor for the benefit of the community were seen by many Transcendentalists as the key to a better society. Many in the Transcendentalist movement rejected government and organized religion; utopias were a way to escape

But I'm pulling for D.

Can you help me with one last question, please and thank you?

Many Transcendentalists considered themselves Christians, but their beliefs were not mainstream. Which of the following quotes from the King James Bible best reflects the religious outlook of the Transcendentalists? Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the fraudulent. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. I think it's B. but i'm not sure.

B makes the most sense. A represents the controlling government that the Transcendentalists wanted to reject. While they did want a government, they wanted one that gave people as much independence and justice as possible. C also goes against Transcendentalist belief. They wanted equal rights for everyone and didn't want to be kept silent from voicing their ideas. D is very conformist and not something they would agree with. While many Transcendentalist were religious, they still wanted to challenge certain ideas and be allowed to follow their own path.

My friend said D, but i'm still confused which one is correct.
