A circle has a diameter of 6 millimeters. What are the circumference and area of the circle? Use 3.14 for pie. Round to the nearest tenth. a. 18.8mm;28.3mm2 b. 9.4mm;113.0mm2 c. 18.8mm;113.0mm2 d. 9.4mm;28.3mm2.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Circumference = pi * d where d = diameter you have both numbers 3.14 for pi times 6 for d so 3.14 * 6 = ...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

= what

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

what is 3.14 times 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 18.84

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

yes it is!

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

round it to the nearest tenth...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is it a b c or d

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Getting there...so you know circumference = 18.8mm Area...is pi * r² to find r (radius) you divide the diameter you have by 2 so what is 6 / 2 ?

idk
