you have Opposite and Adjacent, to use Tan )angle) = Opposite / Ajdacent

Right, as @Jack1 has shown....you have your opposite side and adjacent side...so you would use

\[\tan^{-1} (\frac{ 10 }{ 14 })\]

This will give you your angle of elevation
