easier to look at it in standard form: y >= 4x - 8 so by graphing strategic points and plotting them on the graph: |dw:1370884820758:dw| now for values "greater than or equal to" we choose to shade the left of the line. this makes sense because it is values larger than those on the line (looking directly vertically) (and contains positive infinity), where as the other side contains negative infinity and represents smaller values than the line when going vertically.,
