from the equation: y = x - 9 you can deduce which it is by plugging in strategic points. for example: y = 0 ---> true when x = 9, so you expect the point (x, y) = (9, 0) to be on the graph. and now for: x = 0 --> true when y = 9. so (0, 9) should be there too. the only one that has both those points is D
