Solve the inequality 6x − 4 > 2x + 12.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x − 4 > 2x + 12 4x-4>12 (-2x) from both sides 4x>16 (+4) x>4 (divide both sides by 4)

Solve normally as equality equation keeping the > sign as it is : 6x-4>2x+12 Take all variables at one side & all constants on other side =>6x-2x>12+4 =>4x>16 =>x>(16/4) =>x>4
