well you'd have the numbers 342 with how many zeroes after them?
yes but thats not one of the answers i can choose thats whats confusing
the answers are either 10 to the 6th power or 10 to the 7th power
How many zeroes would you have to put behind the number 3.42 to get what those two are equal to?
6 or 7 zeros but thats not the number given to me.

because you move the decimal 6 times
\[3,420,000 = 3.42 *10^{6}\]
