Write the equations in standard form for the lines satisfying the following conditions: Containing points (0,4) and (2, 6).....thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to find the slope? You have the Y intercept already.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the slope 1? That's what I got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Slope=\frac{ y2-y1 }{ x2-x }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, and you have your Y intercept, so just put it in Slope Inercept Form. \[Y=mX + b\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got y+4x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

keep it in Slope intercept form, it's super easy. \[Y=(Slope)X+YInt\]

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

but be sure to put it in standard form as the problem requires... standard form: Ax + By = C, A and B both non-zero.
