What is the first operation used to evaluate : 13 - 2 * 3 + 4 ÷ 4 + 4 A. Add 4 plus 4 B. Subtract 2 from 13 C. Divide 4 by 4 D. Multiply 2 times 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a word: PEMDAS That's the order of operations where: (P)arentheses are done first (E)xponents are done next (M)ultiplication and (D)ivision are done next (A)ddition and (S)ubtraction is done last

Thank you for telling me the order of operation's, it helped me out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did it tell you whether your answer is A,B,C or D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope. That would be the second pair to work on. You have a multiplication sign prior to that.
