What is fourier series and laplace transform? I am studying traffic engineering and doesn't know anything about electronics, so please recommend me relevant literature

OpenStudy (arnavguddu):

Fourier series is a periodic series....to represent signals in time domain with respect to their harmonic components. For a signal f(t) the Fourier series will be in (0, 2 Pi) f(x) = a0/2 + sum of (i=0, infinite) (cos iwt + sin iwt) Laplace transform is s-domain analysis of signal. It is a good way to analyze circuits involving complex impedence.... Alternatively, another tool to convert time domain signal to frequency domain.... laplace transform of f(t) = integrate from (t=0 to infinity) exp(-st)f(t) dt
