"f(x)=-8(x-5)(x+1)^2 Near the largest x-intercept, what is the behavior of the graph?" How do I solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the largest \(x\) intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so it is zero at 5 the second factor \((x+1)^2\) is positive near 5, because it is a square so the graph changes sign from negative to positive at \(x=5\)
