OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Do you know what type of equation it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Well we know it can't be a hyperbola because the signs aren't opposite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok..

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

so that eliminates half thechoices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a and c?

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

no the hyperbolas..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The choice you have left is between "a" and "b" because you have an ellipse because of the positive sign. And if you try point (0, 0), you will see that that point will not work, so you take choice "a". @divagirl421
