Suppose that y is directly proportional to x and that y=-65 when x = 8. I know that K= -65/8 but then it says use y =kx to find y when x =6 y=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so for y = kx we can re-write that as: y = (-65/8)(x) and all you have to do is substitute 6 for "x" to determine your "y" value. @jpdaddyof3
