The sum of two angles is 148°. One angle is 20° less than twice the other. Find the angles.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

quite a conundrum youve got there

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

however, if you set up 2 equations relating the angles it might get somewhere

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

we can let angle 1 = x and angle 2 = y we know the sum of the 2 = 148 so x + y = 148 we also know 1 angle is 20 less that twice the other lets say 'y'.....y = 2x - 20 Can you solve the system? x + y = 148 y = 2x - 20
