An isosceles triangle has a base of 12 cm and legs measuring 18 cm. How wide is the base of a similar triangle with legs measuring 22 cm?

It would be proportional to the base of the first triangle. Find it by setting up a proportion: 18/22 = 12/x Cross multiply and solve for x. 18x = 264 x = about 14.67 cm
