OpenStudy (jack1):

if you reflect across the x axit, each point's x coordinate = the same as before... but each y coordinate becomes a negative y coordinate of the same amount ie the point B = (2, 4) so reflected B would be (2, -4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay! and A and C would be the same?

OpenStudy (jack1):

C would be the same... because it's y coordinate is 0, so negative 0 is still 0 reflected A would be...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it looks the same for A, right?

OpenStudy (jack1):

yeah, but just so we're talking the same language when you say "the same", what are the coordinates of reflected A ...? ( , )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A= (-1,3)

OpenStudy (jack1):

no... reflected A would be (-1, -3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh oops lol.

OpenStudy (jack1):

all good

OpenStudy (jack1):
