what is the difference between the a autotroph and a hetertroph? please i need to know

Autotrophs makes its own foods that are plants heterotrophs must get it from somewhere..like us (humans)

I just gave an example that we are heterotrophs ..like we are dependent on others for food.. while plants make their own food..that is called autotrophs..:p
