In a 2013 x 2013 square, the rows and columns are numbered 1 to 2013 starting from the top left hand corner. From this the unit squares situated on both odd numbered rows and odd numbered columns are removed. Determine the minimum number of rectangular tiles needed to cover the remaining region entirely without overlap.
