They suck electricity in the dark :-) Things like television sets often have a small current drain all the time to run the circuitry that watches for button presses on the remote control. Other things like the little chargers for your cell phone draw a few watts of power all the time when plugged in.
OpenStudy (missmob):
Sometimes that basically means that they suck a lot of power or energy.like vampires suck our blood that we need.But these appliances suck alot of electricity.
