If the number 86 in base ten is represented as 321 in base b, what is the base-ten representation of the number 123 in base b?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

maybe I'm at a loss, but I'm not sure about the question, maybe it's the context, dunno

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

I can make out that 86 in so-called base 10 would be 8 10s that is 8 numbers of 10 6 units that is well, 6 units :/
