Based on the cartoon, which conclusion can be made about the United States after the attack on Pearl Harbor? Patriotic sentiments were high in the United States as its citizens united against a common enemy. Japanese American citizens remained welcome in the United States despite the actions of the Japanese government. American citizens pushed for entry in World War II, not for revenge, but to assist their European allies. The Japanese attack shocked the American public, but they soon forgot the events after the war began.
