On the graph of the equation x – 4y = –16, what is the value of the y-intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve the equation for y.\[y=\frac{x}{4}+4 \]

Good advice. Alternately, let x=0 and solve for y. The numbers are such that you can probably do it in your head.

Note that they are asking for the value of the y intercept, which would be the y coordinate. If they ask for the y intercept, that would be a place on the Cartesian plane, and would have to be an ordered pair, in this case (0,4).
