solve the inequality 0 ≤ ((x+7)/2) < 9

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well....we don't want a fraction in the middle.....so we should multiply everything by 2...this will eliminate the fraction 0 ≤ ((x+7)/2) < 9 *2 *2 *2 0 ≤ x + 7 < 18 now we want solve for 'x'....so we should subtract 7 from everything as well...this will completely isolate x in the middle 0 - 7 ≤ x + 7 - 7 < 18 - 7 ? ≤ x < ?

\[-7\le x < 11\]

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

That would be correct!
