Find the area of the parallelogram...I need help can someone walk me through this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area = Base x Height Here the Height is 2.6 mi and the Base is 6.1 mi.

mathslover (mathslover):

h = 2.6 mi (corresponding height) Base = CD = 6.1 mi

mathslover (mathslover):

\(Ar(|| ^{gm}) = \bf{Base ~ \times ~ corresponding ~ height} \) So, 2.6 * 6.1 mi^2 = Area of the parallelogram

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay so it would be 6.1 times 2.6=15.86?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh! okay that was pretty easy, easier than i thought haha thanks guys! :D
