How @zairhenrique can I get specific explanation ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you have, for example, 3 types of food and 2 types of drinks. You have 3 * 2 ways to take it. For example, in letter, i will call the foods, a, b, c, and the drinks, 1 and 2. You can have: a,1 a,2 b,1 b,2 c,1 c,2 The same as 3*2 If you have 27 boys and 14 girls, you can do the same 27 * 14 = 378
