SOMEONE PPLLLZZZZ HELP!!!!!!! subtract and simplify: (5x+6/x^2-1)-(1/x^2-1)

OpenStudy (math2400):

well since you have a common denominator, you can proceed by subtracting right away. so we'll have, 5x+6-1 which would equal 5x+5/x^2-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then what?

OpenStudy (math2400):

now you can simplify. do u see anything you can take out from the top?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure if this is the right anser but i got 5/x-1

OpenStudy (math2400):

you can take out a 5. you can also do something to the bottom...difference of squares remember?|dw:1371229750386:dw| so your answer is 5/(x-1)
