find the conductivity of a conductor with a cross-sectional area of 0.5 cm^2 and a length of 15 cm if the conuctance, G, of the conductor is 0.02 units.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Recall the conductivity is given by \(\sigma=\dfrac{G\ell}A\) where \(G\) is conductance, \(A\) is cross-sectional area, and \(\ell\) is length:$$\sigma=\frac{15(0.02)}{0.5}=0.6$$... but note our units are \(\text{cm}^{-1}\Omega^{-1}\).
