can u please help me add moral to the fable

There was a dog who found a piece of meat and he was carrying it in his mouth so that when he gets home he eats it in peace. On his way home there was a plank lying across a pond that he crossed and as he crossed it looking downwards he saw his own shadow from the water beneath him which he thought it was another dog carrying meat so he decided to take both of the meats but as he opened his mouth, the piece of meat fell down and was never seen again.
