What is an example of Split Ticket Voting?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

Split ticket voting refers to a ballot on which the voter has chosen candidates from different political parties when multiple offices are being decided by a single election. True example : 2004 elections in Montana. Democratic gubernatorial candidate Brian Schweitzer was elected governor , while republican incumbent George Bush simultaneously defeated Democratic John Kerry. Th voters voted for a democratic governor and a republican president. They didn't vote straight ticket, which means they didn't vote all republican or all democratic. They split it.
