I used the comment system in Word.  You should see lots of notes down the side.

And give the OWL site a look.  They have things on MLA format and many other important parts of college writing.  A well written paper makes you look good.  By developing the basic writing skills while you are in the English classes, you can be ready for doing argument papers and so on in other classes.  If you continue to graduate studies, you will need to be able to define and defend your learning in a thesis.  This takes developing solid writing skills so that you can properly present what you know and provide support for your position.

Even if you do not go on to graduate studies, there are lots of reasons to be a better writer.  Make your resume the one on the short list by being proper and mistake free.  Business communications that are clear and accurate.  The ability to write a quality reply to anything from a news article to a politician.  On and on, the list of ways we communicate in writing continues.  By working hard at developing your skills while in college, the more it will help in all these other parts of your life.
