My friend will do it for me, checking my essay.

There you go! More side comments to work on.

OpenStudy (loser66):

Thanks for your review. Here are responses to the comments: Comment#4 : Trait and confidential are terminologies in book Comment#11: I might give more explanation for that. Viet Nam is a developed country. In many regions, especially suburban, parents choose their children's marital partners. The first standard they follow is the equivalence between the two families including wealthy and class. The brides do not know the brooms and vice versa. Comment#17: She is beautiful; at the parties, she hooked men and became center of all conversation and attention. Comment#25: Why is it "she" but "her". the word is objective, right? Comment#26: He lets her live by herself? not lets her to go home by herself? Comment#33: Yes, the beauty is obvious, but the way she exaggerates it as her privilege to ignore others' feelings reflects her bad manner. (kind of cocky) . She is aware of that manner is not good but she wants her husband accept that manner as a negative part of her. Comment#46: Just violence.

OpenStudy (loser66):

About your question: few decades ago, most of relationships ran on that way because of the parents' right culture. Now, that kind of relationship decreases. (Just 50-60% ).But violence increases. The conflict between mother in law and daughter in law causes the break up. !! ?? Yes, the reason to divorce is too nonsense like that, but it's true. Mother in law interferes to everything, controls everything (including the couple's bed time).

OpenStudy (loser66):

I saw you typed replies 3 times, but nothing post up. why?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

For comment 11, it was not the matching I wondered about. It was the accent mark. match making has been universal enough I got that. 17: This links to "Marry you and follow masculine culture are my steps back." That just has no meaning to me. What is masculine culture? Steps back to what? 25: If Thuy was the actor, it would be her book, her choice, her thought. However, this is Dang as the actor, so his demand that she do something. I don't remember all the words defining the rules... 26: Depends on what the intent is. If you mean he lets her live separately, it would be that corrected version. Perhaps you mean this: lets her return home when she feels like it. 33: Confidence has two meanings. A confidence is a secret. Confidence is self assurance, feeling strong about your point of view. This makes some phrases hard to understand. For example, "sharing your confidence" seems to mean sharing a secret, but it is not that. It means sharing your mental strength and determination. In contrast, "sharing a confidence" means telling a secret. The exact words to use depends on what you mean to say, which is sometimes hard to tell. 46: Then you could say something like this: Her words must be strong enough to enrage her husband, leading him to violence.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Cause I was going back and forth to the paper.... took time to do all that.

OpenStudy (loser66):

Masculine culture is terminology used to indicate American culture. In that culture, men are breadwinner and women are housewife, stay home and take care of children Feminine culture allow women work

OpenStudy (loser66):

It is exactly the same it is in Vietnam, therefore, I used that word

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Ah, male dominated culture.

OpenStudy (loser66):

Those terminologies surprised my prof and other students, too.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

So really, "Marry you and follow the rules of masculine culture are my steps back." By adding rules of, it clarifies the meaning. What about "my steps back"? Back to what? What sort of steps?

OpenStudy (loser66):

Dang is not rich as some of men who are interesting on her beauty. If she got married one of them, she doesn't have to completely follow that culture because that man can hire a servant to serve them. She doesn't have to do chores. Marry a not rich guy like Dang is a step back.

OpenStudy (loser66):

To her, it's her "sacrifice"

OpenStudy (loser66):

don't know how to say, kind of "she is crazy with her beauty"

OpenStudy (loser66):

in reality, she shows her attractiveness in everywhere to everybody. If I were Dang, I divorce right after wedding party. hehehe...

OpenStudy (loser66):

I didn't put the whole background in the essay. It turned ambiguous. I think if I answer your question and put those answers in, it might be clearer.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Sorry about the delay. I got tied up with something. OK, so this was an arranged marriage. She enjoyed her freedom and parties where she is the center of attention. She is beautiful, knows she is, and likes to use her looks as a weapon to get men to do what she wants. But her arranged marriage was sort of going backwards for her. Instead of going forwards, into a glamorous life, she is back in something more average. Instead of steps back, we say "going backwards" or "losing ground."
