Deoxyribose sugar which is present in the synthesis of DNA lacks an oxygen atom at which position carbon atom?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

I can try write the full name for dAMP then you should be able to tell me: 2'-deoxyadenosine-5'-monophosphate.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Position 1, 3, and 5 there are alcohol groups.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

For one deoxyribose molecule.

Look at this picture: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d1/Ribose_deoxyribose.png There are five carbon positions. They're all labeled with blue numbers. You see where the big X is? It's at carbon position number 2. Deoxyribose sugars don't have an oxygen atom at that position.

thank you so much ;)
