benefits of being eubacteria

OpenStudy (blurbendy):

1) They are small, do not have a lot of genetic material, and are relatively simple, allowing them to become strong r-strategists. (r-strategy involves mass reproduction- most of the offspring tend to die, but the numbers produced are so massive that it doesn't significantly impact the species) 2) They can also adapt pretty quickly through the use of plasmids and transformation (this applies to eubacteria, which is also known as the domain including "true" bacteria).
