Please help me with the following problem. I am asked to find the following cross product. u x v u=<1,2,-3> v=<-4,1,2> and then I am asked to check that the cross product is orthogonal to both u and v. I found the cross product <7,10,9> but I do not know how to check if it is orthogonal to both u and v.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with the dot product

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

u (dot) v = -8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the result of the cross product gave u a result w= <7,10,9> so u must to do this w.u and w.v

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u must get 0 in both cases if they r ortogonal

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

ok thanks...
